- Brigham Young University of Idaho, Bachelor of Arts in Science
Specialization
- Studied Mechanical Diagnostic Therapy of the Spine through the McKenzie
Institute International (Cert. MDT)
Bio
Raised on a farm in Southern Idaho, Steven learned the importance of hard
work at an early age. That hard work drove him to complete his Bachelor's
Degree in Science at Brigham Young University of Idaho in 2005, and his
Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Idaho State University in 2009. He
started his career in an outpatient physical therapy clinic in Pocatello
where he specialized in back and neck physical therapy. Steven was
recently credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (McKenzie) and
was excited when the opportunity presented itself to join Physical Therapy
Partners and Boyd Etter, a diplomat of the McKenzie method, in Northern
Nevada. Steven is practicing primarily in the Fernley clinic and enjoys
being in a rural setting with where the hometown feel still exists. Steven
is passionate about helping people and the physical therapy profession. He
loves to laugh and develop relationships with his patients.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, a Nevada
Native, and their four small children. As a family they love playing
outdoors, snow skiing, water skiing, hiking, camping, riding ATVs and
participating in sports. Steven would love the opportunity to help anyone
and everyone reduce their pain and restore function through the
ever-improving and evidence-based field of physical therapy.
